Spring Show

The 2024 Spring Show of Flowers, Vegetables, Floral Art, Cookery and Photography will be held on Saturday 23rd March in the Cyprus Hall, Cyprus Road, RH15 8DX between 1:30pm and 3:45pm.

Members can enter the following Classes which will be judged to RHS standards. The full show rules are in the Show Schedule.

The Classes for the 2024 Spring Show are:

 

NARCISSI/DAFFODILS – MINIATURES - All exhibits must be classified as ‘miniature’ form(s). No bloom to measure more than 50mm diameter.

VEGETABLES – Exhibits should be uniform in size & tender. ROOT CROPS to be carefully washed with a soft sponge. CABBAGES AND CAULIFLOWERS should be shown with approximately 50mm (2ins) of stalk.

DOMESTIC – All items to be home-made ‘from scratch’ (not from kits) and to be staged by 10 am. Exhibits must be presented on plates, (paper plates acceptable) and displayed under suitable clear hygienic covering. Clear cake domes will be made available for exhibits on show day.

FLORAL ART – Any natural materials, grown or bought, may be used. No preparation on show tables permitted. Please note the maximum space allowed.
53   AN ARRANGEMENT INCORPORATING AN EASTER EGG OR EGGS.  Any accessories permitted. Max. space:                 600mm x 600mm (2ft x 2ft) No height restriction.

54   AN ARRANGEMENT IN A TEAPOT. Any accessories permitted.  Max. space: 450mm x 450mm (18ins x 18ins) No               height restriction.
55   A SPRINGTIME THEMED  ARRANGEMENT IN A CUP & SAUCER. Any accessories permitted. Max. space: 300mm x     300mm (12ins x 12ins) No height restriction.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY – all photos to have been taken by the exhibitor within the last twelve months – no previously exhibited photo allowed. Maximum print size A4.

‘THE PRESIDENT’S CUP’ – will be awarded at the discretion of the President for the exhibit he considers to be the overall Best Exhibit in the Spring Show.
